Emergency Veterinary Services

Important Information

At Animal Life Veterinary Center, we offer emergency services from 24/7, meaning we are ready to act in case of an emergency at any time, however, emergencies outside of our opening hours (not between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM) are considered critical emergencies and need immediate attention. Therefore, our emergency service offered between 6:00 PM and 8:00 AM is for critical emergencies only. If your case does not fall within the below list of emergencies, then waiting till our opening hours would be better for both parties. Before using this service, please review the following guidelines to determine if your pet's situation is an emergency.

What is Considered an Emergency?

An emergency requires immediate veterinary attention to prevent severe pain, distress, or a life-threatening situation.
Common emergencies include:

  • Severe trauma (e.g., hit by a car, falls)
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Collapse or unconsciousness
  • Continuous vomiting or diarrhea, especially with blood
  • Suspected poisoning or toxic ingestion
  • Seizures
  • Severe pain or distress
  • Inability to urinate or defecate

If your pet is experiencing any of these symptoms, please use our emergency service.

Using Our Emergency Services

To access emergency services, click the "I Have an Emergency" button on the bottom of this page. This will provide you with the option to contact our on-call emergency veterinarian.

Please Note
  • Emergency Fee: Emergency consultations outside of opening hours come with a higher fee compared to regular consultations, reflecting the prompt and specialized care your pet deserves.
  • Appropriate Use: The emergency contact is for urgent, severe cases only. For non-emergencies, please contact us during regular hours on our hotline (05 80 83 53)

Is Your Pet's Condition an Emergency?

Before contacting us, consider if your pet's condition matches the emergencies listed above. If in doubt, it's better to contact us, but please use discretion to ensure our emergency services are available for those in critical need.

Summary

ALVC offers 24/7 urgent care, however, the conditions differ for emergencies outside of our opening hours; one of them being the higher consultation fee. Therefore, the emergency contact is for urgent, severe cases only that require immediate medical intervention. For non-emergencies, please contact us during regular hours on our hotline (05 80 83 53)

Please keep in mind that using our emergency service for non-urgent matters outside of opening hours could delay critical care for other pets in need and potentially cost a life.
